ABOUT

About Employment

Education is the most crucial factor for the development of a country. Education is directly related to human capital development, factor productivity, economic growth and the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. Canada and Bangladesh have a strong economic and educational partnership. There are many private schools in Dhaka Bangladesh. There is only one that offers a comprehensive certified Manitoba Canada course of studies combined with a local athletic DISA affiliation. Meeting the needs of students academically as well as socially is the goal of the Canadian International School Bangladesh (CISB).

WELCOME TO BANGLADESH

A nation of more than 160 million people, Bangladesh is nestled between India and Myanmar and a short flight to most South Asian countries. The capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka, is a tapestry of high-rise apartments and bustling marketplaces peppered with parks and gardens. The capital’s diverse modes of transport, ranging from luxury cars to rickshaws weave throughout the city from dusk til dawn, making living in Dhaka unique.

The country, which is predominantly Muslims is also home to people from 15 different ethnic minority groups. Bangladesh is quickly picking up pace towards middle-income status, resulting in improved infrastructure, better healthcare services and a safer environment for all.

Bengalis’ staple foods are rice, dhal and curry. Dhaka’s restaurants and supermarkets are growing exponentially offering a large variety of Western and Asian foods. From burgers to sushi – and everything in between, there is something for everyone.
