Canadian International School is the only school in Bangladesh offering a Canadian curriculum as per the rules and regulations set by the Ontario Ministry of Education. It is a comprehensive, coeducational English medium school, associated with Curriculum Services Canada (CSC) under the Ministry of Education. CIS is a member of the Dhaka International School Association (DISA), and also collaborate with The Association of International Schools of India (TAISI) to provide interschool sports activities and professional development opportunities for teachers.
 
Currently, CIS offers an Early Years Program (EYP) and an Elementary School Program (ESP). In August, 2009 Grade 6 will be added to the ESP to cater to the educational needs of our current 5th grade students.

Following this a higher grade will be added to our school every year until grade 12. Students graduating from CIS will be eligible to apply for enrollment into Universities globally (i.e.) in North America, European Union, England, Australia and New Zealand, etc. and as well as universities within Bangladesh. Students can also get a full transfer to any public school in Canada or in the USA in the same grade level without losing time.

The School is currently housed in three campuses; all located conveniently close together in Banani, Dhaka. CIS has already acquired its own land in the greater Dhaka zone and plans to build a new campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure befitting an international educational institution.
